MECHANICVILLE -- Two students of the Mechanicville Junior/Senior High School are facing charges, after they made threats regarding a shooting at the school, according to a Saratoga County Sheriff's Office report.

The two 12-year-old boys who made the threat directed it toward the school and several other 12- and 13-year-old students, according to the Sheriff's Office.

One of the boys is from Halfmoon. The other is from Mechanicville, and both have been charged with making a terroristic threat. Investigators determined the boys did not have access to weapons, according to a sheriff's office official.

Their names are being withheld due to their age; they were referred to the Saratoga County Probation Department, according to the Sheriff's Office.
