With all that’s happening with shootings, more people are advocating gun buy-back programs and stricter laws. But creating this because “kids can get their hands on them” is ridiculous.
They can get their hands on knives, but you don’t see a knife buy-back program or an outcry for knife control laws; even when stabbings were on the rise. You can easily obtain a knife at Wal-Mart and leave with it no questions asked. And it’s easier to conceal than any firearm. But because it was a gun (which is harder to get than your standard utility knife), we need more laws.
I think we need more training on gun safety. If we did, those kids wouldn’t get their hands on these guns. Proper storage of firearms and gun safety save lives. So if these guns that were obtained from home were properly stored, they wouldn’t have done what they did as easily.
