Two of the Beatles' most popular albums, "The White Album" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," will be celebrated with a special musical event at the GE Theatre at Proctors, 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 23.

Some of the top musicians based in the Capital Region will perform in "Capital Records Live," a series of concerts to be held throughout the year aimed at highlighting some of the music world's most classic albums. Sponsoring the event along with Proctors is WAIX 106.1.

Kicking off the March 23 event in honor of the Beatles will be six unique acts - Bryan Brundige Collective, Clear Mind, Eastbound Jesus, Girl Blue, Let's Be Leonard and Wild Adriatic.

Among the Beatles' songs performed will be "When I'm 64" by the Bryan Brundige Collection, "With a Little Help from My Friends" by Eastbound Jesus, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by Girl Blue, and "A Day in the Life" by Wild Adriatic.

"With 'Capital Records Live,' our mission is to introduce music fans in this market, each year, to the abundance of great local talent," said Sal Prizio, program coordinator at Proctors. "Attendees will experience distinctive renditions of the Beatles' most recognizable tracks. All of these great bands will be in the same place, at the same time."

Along with the music, Chuck Vosganian of the Rochman Record Club will host a Beatles' trivia event.

Tickets are $25 and are available at the Proctors Box Office or by calling (518) 346-6204. For more information visit www.proctors.org.
