CLIFTON PARK — A 13-year-old boy has been charged with making an online post that "insinuated the possibility of a shooting attack on the Shenendehowa campus," Saratoga County sheriff's officials said Tuesday.
The teen made the post to Instagram Sunday, officials said. Deputies responded to the campus Monday and arrested him without incident.
He faces one count of third-degree falsely reporting an incident. He was referred to the Saratoga County Probation Department.
The Instagram message follows a threatening message found Friday on a wall in a bathroom stall at Shenendehowa High School East.
A student reported a misspelled message on a bathroom stall wall that said, “Shoot up shcool 3/19/18 2:35.”
Authorities were called immediately, and the Sheriff's Department and state police were investigating. Police were on hand Monday to ensure safety, officials said.
