Waterford man admits child pornography charge

Site has been shut down by FBI

ALBANY -- A Waterford man admitted this week he accessed a child pornography website that was available only through an anonymous Internet network, federal prosecutors said.

Brian Napier, 34, pleaded guilty Thursday. He is to be sentenced in August.

He admitted he accessed the site in 2015. The site is an online forum where registered users advertised, viewed and distributed child pornography, U.S. Attorney's officials said. The FBI seized the site and shut it down.

The case was investigated by the FBI and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Barnett.
