NORTH CREEK — A man who reported he was stranded overnight on a chairlift at Gore Mountain Ski Center has been arrested for lying, state police said.
Isaac Hyde, 37, of North Creek, was charged with one count of making a punishable false written statement, a misdemeanor.
Hyde alleged that following a day of skiing at Gore Mountain on March 31, he was left on a chairlift overnight after the area closed. Management reported the incident to state police, who then got a statement from Hyde.
The subsequent investigation showed that Hyde "knowingly provided information in his statement that was determined to be false," a state police release reads. The release did not elaborate on whether all of his account turned out to be false.
Hyde was released to return to court later.
