AMSTERDAM -- Two city men were arrested last week after they were found to be in possession of heroin and hypodermic needles, according to a Police Department press release.

Kyle Snow, 32, and Jacob Martuscello, 20, were arrested after police said they saw three people in a car involved in “possible drug activity" around 3 p.m. on April 27.

City detectives and uniformed officers approached the car, located in the area of Division and Tryon streets. With the assistance of police K9 Bruno, police said they discovered the two men to be in possession of three bundles heroin, suboxone and hypodermic needles.

Police said Snow had 27 glassine envelopes with heroin packaged to be sold, needles and suboxone, while Martuscello had two glassine envelopes with heroin in them.

Snow was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanors including seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.

He was arraigned in City Court and sent to the Montgomery County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.

Martuscello was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to City Court at a later date.
