SCHENECTADY - Seward Place between Roger Hull Place and South Avenue is closed to all traffic until further notice.

According to a release issued by the city's Signal Superintendent, John P. Coluccio, "The emergency repair of a water service and the undermining of the roadway is making it necessary to close this block of Seward Place."

The repairs are being performed by Wm. J. Keller & Sons Construction Corp. of Castleton-on-Hudson.

Northbound traffic on Seward Place is being detoured on to Union Avenue to Nott Street, while southbound traffic is being detoured over Roger Hull Place to Park Place.

It is not known at this time when Seward Place will reopen to vehicle traffic.
