CANAJOHARIE -- A man was in jail on Thursday after he took photos of a female without her permission and sent them to an undercover Homeland Security officer, via the Internet, according to state police.
Gary W. Hill, 33, of Canajoharie was charged with second-degree unlawful surveillance and first-degree dissemination of an unlawful surveillance image, both felonies, according to the police report. He was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Hill was arraigned in Canajoharie Town Court and was sent to Montgomery County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 property bond. He was slated to return to court at a later date to answer the charges.
State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations members worked with Homeland Security and the state police Computer Crime and Internet Crimes Against Children units on the investigation, according to troopers.
