FONDA - A Fonda woman used her child's stroller to help take items from a store Tuesday, state police said.

Ariel J. Stockert, 26, used a stroller with her two young children inside to hide an item while at the Dollar General and then left without paying, state police said.

She was stopped by police a short distance away and admitted that she took the property, police said. Supervision was found for the children and Stockert was arrested.

She faces one count each of petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors. She was released to return to court later.
