SARATOGA SPRINGS -- The Saratoga Springs Police Department is investigating an incident that left one man in the hospital after he was stabbed on Sunday.

According to Lt. Bob Jillson of the Saratoga Springs Police Department, a man, whose name and age have not been released, was sent to the hospital after he was stabbed sometime on Sunday morning at 48 Zephyr Lane, a mobile home park in Saratoga Springs.

The victim, according to law enforcement officials, was a Saratoga County resident.

Police do have a suspect in custody, Jillson said, but he would not release the name on Sunday. Police officers continued to investigate the incident on Sunday afternoon.

"We responded earlier to a victim of a stabbing who arrived at the Saratoga Hospital," Jillson said. "We have a person of interest who may be involved with this, and we took him into custody here and took him back to the station. As of right now, we're still sorting through everything, and conducting some more interviews," he said.

Jillson said he was expecting to obtain a warrant to search the home at the address.
