CLIFTON PARK -- Motorists will see multiple road closures Wednesday during the town's annual Fourth of July parade and fireworks show.
Closures and detours will be in effect at different times throughout the day and evening. The parade begins at noon, and road closures begin at 11:45 a.m.
As of 11:45 a.m., westbound traffic on Route 146 will be rerouted south on Moe Road to Clifton Park Center Road and Miller Road.
Bruno Road, between Moe Road and the Shenendehowa High School Campus, will also be closed, except for local traffic.
At 5 p.m. all streets between Route 146 and Clifton Park Center Road will be closed, except to local neighborhood traffic. The streets affected are Gloucester and Plaid Place.
Also at 5 p.m., Clifton Park Center Road between Vischer Ferry Road and Beechwood Drive will be closed.
No parking will be allowed on Clifton Park Center Road, Heather Drive, or Michelle Drive.
Vischer Ferry Road between Route 146 and Clifton Park Center Road will be closed starting at approximately 5:30 p.m.
After the fireworks, town public safety officials, New York State Police officials and Saratoga County sheriff's deputies will be directing traffic out of the Common and around the nearby streets.
