SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Two pedestrians were struck by a hit-and-run driver late Tuesday night on Broadway, and police are asking for the public's help in finding the the driver.
One of the pedestrians, a 31-year-old woman, was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment of significant injuries to her upper body and head, police said. Her status was not available as of Wednesday morning. The other pedestrian, a 37-year-old man, suffered less-serious injures and was taken to Saratoga Hospital for treatment, police said.
The vehicle that struck them is believed to have sustained damage to its front headlight area in the collision, either the headlight or directional light, police said. Police had no other description for the vehicle.
The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. at Broadway and West Fenlon Street. The pedestrians were struck as they crossed Broadway west to east. The vehicle that hit them was headed south on Broadway, police said.
The Saratoga Springs Fire Department and Empire Ambulance handled the initial treatment of the victims, police said.
