ALBANY -- Comedian Amy Schumer, who made an unscheduled visit to Schenectady last month, will be coming to Albany's Palace Theatre on Nov. 8 as part of her new comedy tour.
Schumer, who stopped at the Mopco Improv Theatre on North Jay Street in Schenectady on July 31 and put on an impromptu performance to work on some new material, is opening her fall tour on Sept. 20 in Newark, New Jersey. She will also do performances in Nashville, Austin and Atlanta before wrapping up her tour on Nov. 9 in Cleveland. Additional dates will be announced soon.
Schumer's Comedy Central show, "Inside Amy Schumer," premiered in April of 2013 and was the network's top-rated show of the season. She also won a 2015 Emmy for the show in the category of Best Comedy/Variety Sketch Series, and was also a Critics' Choice winner in 2015 and a Peabody Award winner in 2014.
Her films include "Trainwreck" from 2015 and "I Feel Pretty" this year. Her first book, "The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo," earned her a 2017 Grammy nomination for Best Spoken World Album.
Tickets for Schumer's Albany performance go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at the Palace Theatre Box Office. Tickets range from $32 to $128.
