Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake girls' volleyball coach Gary Bynon reached 700 career wins Tuesday when his Spartans swept Schenectady 25-8, 25-19, 25-8 in a Suburban Council match.

Bynon, in his 31st season at Burnt Hills, became the fourth coach in New York to reach 700 victories and is No. 2 on the active list behind Marcia Laidlaw of Canastota.

Bynon's teams have won 30 Suburban Council division titles, 23 Section II titles, 19 regional flags and six state championships. Six of his teams also placed second in the state.

In Tuesday’s win, Lindsey Debonis and Hannah Shell combined for 11 kills, and Carlie Rzeszotarski added five kills and four aces.
