Dylan Martin headed in the game-winning goal with 31 seconds left to give Schalmont a 2-1 non-league win over Schuylerville on Saturday. 

Schuylerville opened the scoring on a Zach Saddlemire goal. Ryan Edwards tied it for Schalmont on a penalty kick.

Jack Ensslin led Voorheesville with two goals in a 2-1 win over Hudson Falls. Joey Saia also scored for the Blackbirds. Nik Heasley scored for Hudson Falls

Mayfield beat Greenwich 2-1. Daniel Leach and Josh Wasson each had a goal for Mayfield. Charlie Gartner scored for Greenwich. 

Eric Makhatadze scored twice in a 3-1 Shenendehowa victory over Averill Park in a Suburban Council game. Jason Breznak also had a goal. Tristan Shelhamer scored for Averill Park. 

George Tsakalakos early goal was the difference in a 1-0 Niskayuna win over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. 

Albany beat Saratoga Springs 2-1 in overtime. Marcelo Fazio and Kevin Kampula scored for Albany. Evan Farr scored for Saratoga.

ALBANY — Saratoga Springs beat Albany in Class AA. Chris Klemek rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns for the Blue Streaks.

Girls’ soccer
Colonie scored two goals in the second overtime period to beat Troy 4-2. Vanessa Jones, Kayla Novak, Madison Knowles and Morgan Connolly scored for Colonie. Amaya George and Kristen Paravella had a goal each for Troy. 

Julia DiMenna had a hat trick for Saratoga Springs in a 9-0 Suburban Council win over Albany. Lauren Livingston added two goals for the Blue Streaks.

Guilderland beat Schenectady 6-0. Margot Nezaj scored twice and had an assist for the Lady Dutchmen. Jane Leader added a goal and an assist. 

Bethlehem scored four goals in the first half to beat Bethlehem 7-1. Katie Sellers scored twice with an assist. Ruth Hotaling had a goal and an assist for Bethlehem.

Davia Rossi scored and had two assists in a 6-0 Schalmont win against Plattsburgh in a non-league game. Vanessa Wainwright had a goal and an assist.

Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville played to a 1-1 tie with Parishville-Hopkinton. Isabella Masi scored for OESJ while Jessica Mitchell had a goal for P-H. 

Mechanicville edged Cooperstown 1-0. Jada Brown scored a goal on an assist from Ryleigh Hopeck.

Niskayuna played to a scoreless tie against Massapequa. Layla Abdoun and Emma Anderson had two saves each for Niskayuna.

Field hockey
Taryn Ringer scored seven goals for Johnstown in an 11-0 Foothills Council win over Gloversville. Ringer scored five goals in the first half and two in the second half. Maddie Etherton added a goal and two assists for the Lady Bills.

Scotia-Glenville beat South Glens Falls 2-1. Olivia Geniti scored the game-winning goal. Zoe Connor also scored for Scotia. Julian Wills had a goal for South Glens Falls. 

Niskayuna shut out Salem 5-0 in a non-league game. Claire Skumarski had two goals and an assist. Maddie O’Brien finished with a goal and an assist. 

Cross Country
Tyler Berg edged Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake schoolmate Evan Brennan for individual honors, and the Spartans took the Large School Division boys’ team championship at the Guilderland Invitational at Tawasentha Park.

Berg ran the 2.86-mile course in 14:32.29, and Brennan finished in 14:32.45. Burnt Hills had five in the top eight and scored 20 points to runner-up Guilderland’s 39.

William Goodwin of Collegiate won the Small School Division race (16:42.03), and Collegiate scored 24 points for team honors.

Rory Graham of Burnt Hills won the Large School Division girls’ race in 18:01.28, and Guilderland copped the team title with 27 points.

Sunni LaBounty of Schuylerville won the Small School Division girls’ race (19:07.25), and the Black Horses were best among the teams with 32 points.

Division I winners at Voorheesville’s 5-kilometer Blackbird Invitational at Wallace Park were Antonio Beltran of Schalmont (16:32) and Faith DeMars of Ballston Spa (19:23). Division 2 winners were Evan Ensslin of Voorheesville (16:58) and Elaine Atanasova of Duanesburg (19:47)

Team titles went to the Ballston Spa boys and girls in Division 1, and to the Oriskany boys and Duanesburg girls in Division 2.
