Socialism and socialists are evil? Only socialists like government-financed projects?

I think we all (if we really think about it) would admit that we like our public education, which was opposed in the beginning. Before public education, only the children of the elite were educated.

I think we all would be forced to admit we couldn’t function as a modern nation without our public water, public sewers, paved roads and interstate systems. How many parents could afford a college education for their children if all colleges were private and for profit?

I think we are confusing socialism for dictatorships. Examine the economies of Canada, England, Israel, Australia, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and nearly every other modern democratic country.

They are socialist in nearly every field. Yet, they exceed the United States in care for their people.
