LAKE GEORGE - Warren County Sheriff's officials are asking for the public's help in finding the people who damaged a hand-carved canoe on display in the Village of Lake George earlier this month.

The sheriff's office this week posted to Facebook surveillance images of multiple individuals either damaging the artwork or near it.

The artwork is located on Beach Road in the village and the vandalism happened early on Sept. 9.

It includes multiple figures in the canoe. The surveillance images show the vandals climbing a protected fence and sitting or laying among the carved figures in the canoe.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals in the photos is asked to contact sheriff's investigator Chris Hatin at 518-743-2578.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office post is embedded below, as is an embedded video posted to YouTube last year of the completed artwork.
