Xavier Ward scored on a 6-yard run on Troy’s third possession of the game, and Xavier Leigh caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from Mike Sazio on the fifth possession of the game, both in seven plays, to take the early lead and help lead Troy to a 27-14 win over Ballston Spa in Class A action at Ballston Spa on Friday.

In the second half, Troy’s Ari Holmes scored on runs of 69 yards 32 yards.

For Ballston Spa, Keegan Zoller went 4-for-9 for 94 yards with three of his passes going to Tyler Beverly, inclduing a 28-yard score.

Queensbury running back Liam O’Mara scored four touchdowns, two rushing, one on a punt return and one receiving, and Liam O’Connor had four carries for 86 yards and two rushing touchdowns to lead the team to the win.

Gloversville managed a big play in the third quarter when quarterback Julien Deumaga hit Petey Raldiris for a 78-yard touchdown pass for its lone touchdown.

Joseph Girard III started the scoring for Glens Falls early in the first quarter with a 60-yard touchdown run, and Glens Falls rolled to a win.

Girard had 235 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns. He threw two touchdown passes to Brendan Quirk for 40 yards and to Hogan Fox for 18 yards.

Jeffery Vincent ran for 139 yards on 18 carries and scored four touchdowns, two in the first and two in the third, to lead Hoosick Falls past Lake George/Hadley-Luzerne.

Sam Richards went 6-for-7 for 89 yards and a touchdown pass to Josh Colegrove for 17 yards for Hoosick Falls. 

Lake George’s biggest play came in the fourth quarter on a Logan Duers 25-yard touchdown run.
