Power outage hits Schenectady

SCHENECTADY — A power outage on the eastern side of Schenectady near the high school left around 1,500 without power Thursday night. 

The area around Rosa Road, Balltown Road and Union Street was where most homes were affected. National Grid said the repairs were expected to be completed by 11:30 p.m. Thursday. 

Another outage was also reported along Paige Street in Hamilton Hill, although National Grid said only a handful of customers were affected.
