NORTHUMBERLAND -- A portion of Route 32 will be closed from Oct. 15 to 20 for a culvert replacement, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The road will be closed between Brownville and Jewell roads, and a detour will be posted, directing motorists to use State Route 50, Saratoga County Route 39, Saratoga County Route 40 and State Route 32, according to the DOT.

The closure on Monday, Oct. 15, is expected to be in place at 7 a.m. The road is scheduled to reopen by 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.

To prepare for this work, Route 32 between Brownville Road and Jewell Road will be reduced to one alternating lane controlled by flaggers on Monday, Oct. 8, and Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the DOT.
