ROTTERDAM - A Monday night crash on Mariaville Road in Rotterdam sent one man to the hospital by helicopter with serious injuries, authorities said.

The crash happened shortly after 11:05 p.m. at Cimino Lane when a car pulled out from Cimino in front of a pickup truck traveling on Mariaville, police said.

The driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with what police described as serious injuries. A passenger in his truck also suffered injuries.

Police identified the driver of the car as David Baehm, of Rotterdam, and issued him a citation for failure to yield, police said.
