SCHENECTADY - A city man has been arrested, accused of illegally entering a woman's residence earlier this year and stabbing her in the arm, authorities said.

Devin J. Walls, 39, of Manhattan Street, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree robbery, felonies. Police arrested him Monday.

Walls is accused of walking into the woman's Columbia Street residence March 29 and using a pocket knife to stab her in the forearm, according to police allegations filed in court. He then stole money, clothing and a small safe before he drove off in another resident's car, police allege.

The police allegations don't indicate what connection Walls may have had, if any, to the victims.

Walls also faces felony grand larceny and misdemeanor petit larceny counts. He was arraigned and ordered held. He remained at the Schenectady County Jail Wednesday.
