SCHENECTADY -- A motorcyclist suffered a serious leg injury Tuesday morning after colliding with a car in Schenectady.

The motorcyclist's injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said. He wore a helmet.

The crash happened at around 7:30 a.m. at the corner of Erie Boulevard and Union Street.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital by Mohawk Ambulance.

The crash slowed traffic in the area as police and rescuers worked.

The crash was still under investigation later Tuesday, police said.
