NISKAYUNA -- Niskayuna police on Tuesday night arrested a 17-year-old town boy and accused him of making violent threats over social media targeting Niskayuna High School.

Police charged the teen, whom they did not identify, with making a terroristic threat and second-degree solicit support for an act of terrorism. Both are felonies.

Police said they were contacted at 3 p.m. by personnel from Niskayuna Central School District regarding social media posts that threatened violence to the high school. Police later were contacted by citizens who had seen the same posts.
