CORINTH – New York State Police have determined that a Corinth woman died Thursday after being struck by a bullet that discharged from a gun as her husband cleaned the weapon, state police said Saturday.
The overall investigation continued Saturday, troopers said.
State police issued a news release Saturday that said Eric Rosenbrock, 35, of 7 Raymond St. was performing maintenance on his legally owned handgun when it fired and shot his wife Ashley Rosenbrock, 34.
State police said the victim was transported to Saratoga Hospital where she was pronounced dead from the injury.
An autopsy was conducted Dr. Michael Sikirica on Saturday.
"The results of the autopsy are consistent with the information and evidence that has been discovered to this point in the investigation," the release said. "This investigation is still ongoing with the assistance of the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office."
