GLOVERSVILLE -- Surveillance camera footage of a man physically abusing a child led to his arrest on Monday, Gloversville police said.

Lee D. Horning Jr., 31, of 11 Burr St., was charged with one count of second-degree assault, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, after police received a phone call asking them to check on the child, police said.

The charge accuses Horning of physically abusing the boy at his residence Monday morning, police said.

He was arrested after a tenant in his building gave responding police officers surveillance footage of the incident, police said.

The footage has also been shared on social media, police said.

Horning was arraigned and ordered held on $35,000 bail.
