Tickets to the national touring production of “The Phantom of the Opera,” set for April 24-May 5, 2019, at Proctors, will go on sale at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 3.
With a cast and crew of 52, this staging of “Phantom” is one of the largest touring productions in the world, and is also a “new” production according to creator Andrew Lloyd Webber and producer Cameron Mackintosh.
“I am really pleased that this new production of ‘Phantom’ will continue to tour the U.S. playing in tandem with the Broadway production, which just celebrated 30 years at the Majestic Theatre,” Webber said in a press release.
Based on the classic novel, “Le Fantome de L’Opera,” by Gaston Leroux, “Phantom” tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her extraordinary talents and by employing all of the devious methods at his command.
Tickets start at $25. For more information contact the Proctors Box Office at (518) 346-6204 or visit www.proctors.org.
