SCOTIA -- The woman killed Wednesday night in a car-pedestrian crash has been identified as Kathleen Allen, 70, of Mohawk Avenue. She was struck by an SUV at about 6:40 p.m. on Route 5 in front of a gas station at 24 Mohawk Ave.

It appeared she was crossing Mohawk Avenue, also known as Route 5, from the south side toward the gas station to the north when she was struck by the eastbound Jeep, police said.

Police identified the driver of the Jeep as Robert Delameter, of Scotia.
