CHESTER -- Two Warren County men were killed and a Burnt Hills man injured in a Sunday morning crash, Warren County Sheriff’s officials said.
The crash happened just before 10 a.m. on Route 8, near Hill Clyde Acres in Chester, officials said.
A car driven by Walter Christie, 89, of Chestertown, failed to negotiate a curve, went into the oncoming lane and struck another car head-on, officials said.
The second car was driven by John M. Lewis, 70, also of Chestertown. Lewis also had a passenger identified as Ralph E. Lewis, 66, of Burnt Hills.
Christie and John M. Lewis were taken to Glens Falls Hospital, where they were pronounced dead, officials said.
Ralph E. Lewis was also taken to Glens Falls Hospital for injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The crash remained under investigation, but alcohol and speed do not appear to have been factors, officials said.
