SCHENECTADY - An Albany man has been arrested in connection with a 2018 pipe assault that left a woman missing teeth, authorities said.

Robert L. Odom, 61, of South Pearl Street, was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.

Odom is accused of striking the woman multiple times in the head with a steal pole March 2, 2018, at a State Street apartment, according to police allegations filed in court.

The victim required treatment for a cut to her forehead and missing teeth, according to the police filing.

Odom remained held at the Schenectady County Jail Monday without bail. He is due back in court Tuesday.
