School basketball: Schalmont boys beat Mohonasen

Shane O’Dell scored 31 points to lead Schalmont to a 60-49 Colonial Council boys’ basketball victory over Mohonasen on Thursday.

LJ Randle added 12 points for Schalmont. Chase Monroe scored 18 points, and Shawn Gillisslee contributed 11 for Mohonasen.  

Michael Rogan scored 18 points to lead Saratoga Springs to a 61-50 Suburban Council victory over Columbia. Nate Chudy added 14 points for Saratoga. Alex Adams scored 23 points for Columbia, and Dylan Ouimette added 16. 

TJ Sangare scored 14 points to lead Shenendehowa to a 71-57 non-league victory over Green Tech. Jake Reinisch scored 13 points, Devin Dzikas and Sean Konarski each added 10 for Shen.

Jenalyse Alarcon scored 25 points to lead Troy to a 61-59 Suburban Council girls’ basketball victory over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. Alaina Holmes scored 11 points, and Jakaiya Dewer added 10. Carlie Rzesotarski scored 17 points, and Callie Chevalier contributed 16 for Burnt Hills. 

Bre Loft scored 22 points to lead Mohonasen to a 54-45 Colonial Council victory. Kateri Vumbaco added 13 points, and Shiya Hunter had 11 for Mohonasen. Patience Riley scored 13 points, and Autumn Anderson added 11 for Lansingburgh. 

Grace Field scored 16 points to lead Holy Names to a 41-32 victory over Catholic Central. Sarah Mattfeld scored 13 points for Catholic Central. 

Hailey Ballard scored 30 points to lead Queensbury to a 62-33 Foothills Council victory over Broadalbin-Perth. Fiona Hunt added 10 points for Queensbury. Makenzie Smith contributed 10 points for Broadalbin-Perth. 

Ashlyn O’Neil scored 24 points to lead Scotia-Glenville to a 81-28 victory over Glens Falls. Promise Mitchell and Olivia Geniti each contributed 10 points for Scotia. Anna Bayle scored 12 points for Glens Falls. 

Jaclyn Stanavich scored 17 points to lead Amsterdam to a 55-35 victory over Hudson Falls. Andie Gannon added 16 points, and Elena Fedullo had 10 for Amsterdam. Brinley Inglee and Mikayla Varney each scored 10 points for Hudson Falls. 

Jaden Wilson scored 20 points to lead Johnstown to a 55-39 victory over Schuylerville. Anna Lee added 10 points for Johnstown. Macey Koval scored 12 points for Schuylerville. 

Harmony Philo scored 31 points and was a 13-for-13 from the free-throw line to lead Gloversville to a 62-46 victory over South Glens Falls. Kendra Lavery added 14 points for Gloversville. Sydney Hart scored 26 points for South Glens Falls.  

Emma Smith scored 15 points to lead Galway to a 61-44 non-league victory over Loudonville Christian. Julia Reedy and Rachel Wnuk each contributed 12 points, and Isabella Mancini added 10 for Galway. Genevieve Swanson scored 22 points, and Victoria Ralston added 11 for Loudonville Christian. 

Ellie Carlson-McNally, Sami Dickinson and Alex Rifenburg each scored 10 points to lead Hoosic Valley to a 56-20 Wasaren League victory over Saratoga Central Catholic.
