MALTA — The town Republican Committee has endorsed a slate of incumbents for re-election, including Town Supervisor Darren O'Connor.
A retired New York state police attorney who was previously deputy supervisor, O'Connor was appointed supervisor in November, after then-Supervisor Vincent DeLucia resigned.
"Public service has been a cornerstone of my professional career, and it’s incredibly humbling to earn the support of my peers in Malta in trusting me to continue to serve as our town supervisor,” O'Connor said.
Current town elected officials endorsed for re-election include town councilmen Craig Warner and Timothy Dunn, Highway Superintendent Roger Crandall, Town Clerk Jennifer Holmes-Golden, and Receiver of Taxes Candace Schmidt.
Town Democrats have yet to announce any candidates.
