CLIFTON PARK - A guitar reported stolen from a Clifton Park store has led to the arrest of a Watervliet woman, state police said.
Joy Hoose, 57, was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.
Hoose is accused of attempting to sell the guitar at a local guitar shop in Colonie. After some investigation, the shop determined the guitar to have been stolen and notified state police.
The guitar had originally been reported stolen from a shop in Clifton Park, state police said. A release did not indicate the value of the guitar, but the charge indicates value in excess of $3,000.
Troopers arrested Hoose at Bethlehem Town Court without incident. She was arraigned in Colonie Town Court and released under probation supervision.
State police in Latham and Clifton Park investigated.
