HALFMOON - A Halfmoon man injured a Saratoga County Sheriff's deputy as the deputy arrested him in a domestic case, sheriff's officials said.
The deputy suffered injuries to his neck and knee in the incident and was treated and released, officials said.
Kevin D. Hogle, 41, of 5E Fern Lane, faces one count of second-degree assault, a felony, and misdemeanor resisting arrest related to the deputy. He also faces one count of misdemeanor criminal mischief in the original incident, officials said.
Deputies responded to Hogle's residence Monday for an incident involving another person there. Hogle is accused of intentionally damaging a cell phone belonging to the person, officials said.
As deputies attempted to arrest him on that charge, Hogle fought with the deputy and injured him, officials said.
Hogle was arraigned in Halfmoon Town court and ordered held on bail, officials said.
