GLENVILLE - A Scotia contractor arrested last month, accused of sexually abusing a child while on a job in Rotterdam is facing new charges, police in Glenville said.

Zachary Cota, 26, of Marion Boulevard, was arrested Thursday on two counts of course of sexual conduct against a child under the age of 11, police said.

Cota is accused of engaging in sexual contact with two separate children under the age of 11 in Glenville from April 2017 to February 2019, police said.

Cota was arraigned and ordered held without bail, police said.

The Glenville charges come two weeks after state police arrested Cota and charged him with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

In that case, state police determined Cota had sexual contact with a child while working as a contractor in Rotterdam, state police said.
