STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police in upstate New York are warning of a dangerous fentanyl-laced marijuana combination that was recently confiscated in a Walmart parking lot.

According to an Associated Press report, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office confiscated the marijuana in the town of Thompson and it tested positive for fentanyl.

It is the first time fentanyl was found in marijuana in the area, the report says.

In a separate incident on Thursday in Albany County, Sheriff Craig Apple says first responders revived three people who had overdosed in a car in the middle of a road. Another driver came upon the car in the town of Knox and called 911.
