CLIFTON PARK - A group of students from Shenendehowa schools is in Paris now and visited the historic Notre Dame Cathedral Monday morning - the same day a fast-moving fire destroyed the centuries old structure, the district said on its Facebook page.
In all, 29 students and six chaperones are in the city through the PEACE Program, an exchange program, the district said.
All students and chaperones have been accounted for and are safe, the district said.
“The students visited Notre Dame this morning and then returned to their host families,” the district’s post read.
The advisor has contacted parents by email, the district said.
