SCHENECTADY - Two Schenectady Police officers stopped their patrol car in Saturday morning's rain storm to help a woman carrying groceries and using a walker, a witness said.

The witness, Jen Graves, recorded part of the scene from her car with her phone and posted the video to Facebook.

The video had been shared nearly 1,000 times and viewed more than 26,000 times by late Saturday afternoon.

"Schenectady PD stopped and helped this older woman with a walker and groceries and brought her home!" Jen Graves wrote with the post. "Not enough good shared these days!"

To The Gazette on Facebook, Graves said she spotted the scene just after 10 a.m. on Guilderland Avenue.

She saw the officers load the woman's walker into their patrol car and she started recording.

"I thought that it was so sweet and with all the bad news out there these days this was refreshing," Graves said.

After a few hours the video made it to the Schenectady Police Department's Facebook page, which identified the officers as Christopher Wilgocki and Mark Weekes and added a "great job."
