Lauren Kersch didn’t give up a hit until the seventh inning and finished with a two-hitter as Ballston Spa downed Saratoga Springs 9-1 in Suburban Council softball Tuesday. Kersch struck out 10 and also hit three singles.

Shenendehowa held Schenectady without a hit in a 17-0 victory Tuesday. Sophia Caputo went 4-for-4 with a double for Shen, and Ava Caputo hit a home run and two singles.

Alyssa Burg hit a home run and a double for three RBI as Guilderland edged Niskayuna 7-4. Riley Sullivan had two singles and two RBI for the Lady Dutch, and Ashley Shean hit two singles.

Ryleigh Haynes struck out seven and gave up one hit as Troy shut out Albany 12-0. Amaya George had a home run and a single for three RBI for Troy.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake edged Averill Park 2-1, led by Lexi Puliafaco’s solo home run and a pair of singles from Madison Maggs. McKenzie Swinson had a double and a single for Averill Park.

Hannah Scarano had three singles, and Missy Daigneault added two singles to lift Columbia over Colonie 4-1.

BASEBALL

Robert Erno hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Columbia a 5-4 win over Colonie in a Suburban Council game.

The Garnet Raiders had taken a 3-2 lead with two runs in the sixth, which was answered by the Blue Devils with two runs in the bottom of the sixth, then Colonie tied it at 4-4 with a run in the seventh.

Kyle Fortin was 4-for-4 for Columbia, and Erno hit two home runs for three RBI.

Niskayuna took control with seven runs in the top of the second inning and went on to defeat Guilderland 12-4.

Jacob Hand had a single, triple and three RBI for the Silver Warriors, Jimmy Joyce had two singles, one RBI and three runs scored and Jack Murray had two base hits.

Cole Hedden struck out eight in six innings pitched for Niskayuna.

Brenden Harris and Donnie Canchela each had a double for the Dutchmen.

Shaker got three runs in the bottom of the seventh, but couldn’t get the equalizer and fell to CBA 6-5.

Drew Signor had two singles and two RBI for the Brothers, Alex Harrison hit a two-run double during a four-run fourth inning and Kyle Rubilotta had two singles.
Robert Fratangelo went 3-for-4 for the Blue Bison, and Matt Snyder hit a two-run double in the seventh.

Shenendehowa defeated Schenectady 11-2 behind a 4-for-4 performance by Jake Reinisch, who had a double, three singles and two RBI for the Plainsmen.
David Bernard hit a triple for the Patriots.

Averill Park scored in the bottom of the ninth on Jack Nichols’ RBI single to edge Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 4-3 in nine innings.

In the Foothills Council, Queensbury defeated Johnstown 7-1, as Matt Chase struck out 14 through six innings and also had two base hits and an RBI for the Spartans (3-1, 4-3).

Charlie Brown hit an RBI double for the Sir Bills.

Broadalbin-Perth defeated Glens Falls 3-1 behind a double from Sammy Vainauskas.

Dane Dillenbeck had a double and single for two RBI as Gloversville got past Hudson Falls 5-3.

In the Colonial Council, Albany Academy beat Ichabod Crane 5-2 behind a pair of singles from Aidan O’Keefe and Ben Farrell.

In the Wasaren League, Tristan Nemjo had a home run, a single and three RBI as Tamarac defeated Hoosic Valley 5-2.

La Salle scored seven runs in the third inning to hold off Bethlehem 7-6. Mark Finelli and Cole Gorleski both doubled in the win. Bethlehem was led by Jerry Jennings with a double.

Waterford-Halfmoon scored 12 runs in the last two innings to defeat Watervliet 13-5. Tommy Phelan had a double and two singles, Michael Talavera doubled, Bobby Valigorski had two doubles and Jake Houle had two doubles and a single. Watervliet was led by Evan Smeltzer and Joe Forezzi, who each had a double and a single.

Ben Littrell powered OESJ past Dolgeville 8-0 by tossing a no-hitter. OESJ’s offense was led by Tyler Leon and Mason Snell, who each had a double and single, and Travis LaFountain with two singles.

Cohoes defeated Holy Trinity 11-1.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

Finn McCullough had nine goals and one assist to lead Niskayuna to a 19-11 victory over Ballston Spa in the Suburban Council.

Griffin King had two goals and five assists for the Silver Warriors. Ethan Thomas had four goals and one assist for the Scotties.

Saratoga Springs rode a big third quarter to get past Columbia 11-8, outscoring the Blue Devils 6-2 in the third to take a 10-6 lead.

Charlie Beck had four goals and one assist for the Blue Streaks, and Huck Patton scored three goals.

Owen Stefanko scored four goals for Columbia.

Adam Gilbert scored six goals, and Matt Newhall had five as Shenendehowa rolled to a 22-2 win over Averill Park.

Max Tedesco made 20 saves to lead CBA to a 12-3 win over Guilderland.

Freddie Smith scored five goals, and Anthony Pizzola had four goals and an assist for the Brothers.

Bethlehem outscored Shaker 2-1 in the fourth quarter to pull out an 8-7 victory.

Liam Ferris had four goals and an assist for the Eagles, and Amos Grim scored two goals for Shaker.

J.D. Townsend scored five goals, Gordy Adams added three goals and an assist and Jackson Bach and Owen Muller each had two goals and two assists to help Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake defeat Troy 22-2.

In the Foothills Council, Queensbury defeated Amsterdam 21-3 as Nate Stone scored four goals and had three assists, Paul Wright scored four goals and two assists, Connor White had three goals and four assists and Brendan Duffy had two goals and three assists.

Maddy Barnum had seven goals and an assist for the Scotties.

McKenzie Ballard scored eight goals to lead Shenendehowa past Averill Park 18-7.

Olivia Howard had three goals for Shen. Lauren Meyers scored three for the Warriors.

Sophia Burke and Reilly Hogan each had four goals and an assist as Saratoga Springs defeated Columbia 16-8.

Ciara Mazzone scored five goals for the Blue Devils.

Caroline Wise scored five goals and had one assist, and Paige Halliday and Ashlynn McGrath each scored three goals and an assist as Bethlehem beat Shaker 19-5.
