College lacrosse: Siena men's season comes to end

MONMOUTH, N.J. — The Siena men’s lacrosse season came to an end Saturday with a 13-6 MAAC loss to Monmouth.

The Saints (3-4 MAAC, 6-7 overall) finished tied for fifth with Monmouth (3-4, 4-8). Both teams were a game behind Canisius for the final berth for the four-team MAAC tournament.

Dylan Pantalone scored twice for Siena.

Goalies: Siena, Lewis, 8 saves. Monmouth, Lode, 14 saves.

Women

UALBANY 14, UMBC 6

ALBANY — Kyla Zapolski scored four goals as the Great Danes closed out the America East regular season by beating the Retrievers.

UAlbany (6-1 AE, 10-6 overall) will play in the AE tournament semifinals on Thursday. Its opponent will be determined following today’s Stony Brook-New Hampshire game.
