Ballston Spa defeated Averill Park 19-2 in a Suburban Council boys lacrosse game Thursday behind Ethan Thomas’ three goals and three assists, Antonio Rossetti’s three goals and one assist, Jake Koszelak’s three goals and Erik Gottmann and Payton Walsh with two goals and an assist each.

Caleb Jacobson had three goals and two assists, Mitchell MacKissock scored three goals and had one assist and Nick Cardinal and Chris Ardinto had two goals and two assists each as Guilderland defeated Troy 16-1.

Shenendehowa edged CBA 11-8, led by Eric Makhatadze’s four goals and two assists, Billy Beach’s three goals and one assist and Ely Burns’ two goals. Anthony Pizzola scored four goals and had one assist for CBA.

In the Foothills Council, Sean Collins scored four goals and had four assists, Mark Shevlin scored three goals and Alex Chirgwin had two goals and three assists to lead Queensbury past Scotia-Glenville 18-4.

In the Colonial Council, Holy Names beat Hoosick Falls 12-6 behind Grace Field’s four goals and two assists, Suzie Smith’s four goals and Lauren Mesick’s two goals and one assist.

Catholic Central edged Emma Willard 8-7 in overtime, led by Claudia Fountain’s three goals.

SOFTBALL 

Clare Boegel went 3-for-4 with a double, triple and four RBI to lead Bethlehem to a 9-1 Suburban Council victory over Shaker. Aria Losee singled twice and scored three runs, while Haley Nash added a two-run home run and Anna Clearly had a double and two RBI. 

Mayfield defeated Canajoharie 7-6 in a Western Athletic Conference game. For Mayfield, Jillian Botch had two singles, two RBI, including the game-winner in the bottom of the seventh inning. Botch also had nine strikeouts, while Lindsey Hampton had two singles. For Canajoharie, Mollie Krug had two triples and two RBI, Sam Keaney had three singles and an RBI, Alexz Lathers had a triple and Caitlyn Baker had two singles and three runs.

BASEBALL 

John Irons and Grayden Parker each had two hits and three RBI to lead Saratoga Springs to a 10-7 Suburban Council victory over Niskayuna. 

Ryan Yandow went 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead Schuylerville to a 1-0 Foothills Council victory over South Glens Falls. 

Peyton Ausfeld and Jeffrey Brennan each had a single and an RBI to lead Amsterdam to a 2-0 victory over Gloversville. 

Joe Saia drove in the eventual game-winning run with an RBI double in the fifth inning to lead Voorheesville to a 3-2 Colonial Council victory over Lansingburgh. Jacob Lapham went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Lansingburgh.
