BETHLEHEM - A traffic stop last week on the Thruway in Albany County led to the discovery of several large boxes containing various types of marijuana and concentrated cannabis, state police said in a release.
The stop happened on Interstate 87 in the Town of Bethlehem early on May 1, state police said.
Troopers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and gained probable cause to search it, troopers said. State police released photos of what they say they seized.
The driver was identified as Larry M. Tape Jr., 37, of Ardmore, Penn. He faces three counts each of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, as well as one count of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, state police said.
Tape was arraigned and ordered held on $3,000 bail.
