SCHENECTADY - A Schenectady woman illegally took more than $3,000 in unemployment benefits last year, state police said Thursday.
Ashley Fitzgerald, 31, was arrested Wednesday and charged with third-degree grand larceny, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and first-degree falsifying business records, felonies.
Fitzgerald is accused of fraudulently filing for and receiving unemployment benefits between June and August 2018, troopers said.
Fitzgerald was released to appear in court later.
