Top-seeded Niskayuna breezed into the Section II Boys’ Lacrosse Class A semifinals with a 22-1 win Saturday in the quarterfinals against Colonie. 

Finn McCullough had four goals and an assist, Brock Behrman had three goals and two assists and Dan Brownell scored three goals for Niskayuna, which led 10-0 after one quarter.

Niskayuna will play Shaker in Tuesday’s semifinals, as the Blue Bison scored an 8-6 win against Saratoga Springs.

Shenendehowa earned a 15-6 win against CBA. Billy Beach had four goals and an assist in victory, while Ely Bruhns had three goals. 

In its semifinal, Shenendehowa will play Bethlehem after the Eagles defeated Guilderland 10-7. Bethlehem led 8-2 after three quarters, and received three goals from Ben Reilly, two goals and two assists from Liam Ferris and two goals from Ben Lavigne. For Guilderland, Machiarella and Nick Cardinal each had three goals.

In the Class B quarterfinals, Columbia won 13-1 against Troy. Billy DiDonna had four goals, and Owen Stefanko had three goals and two assists as Columbia advanced to play top-seeded Ballston Spa in Tuesday’s semifinals.

In a Class D quarterfinal, Voorheesville won 10-9 in overtime against Cambridge. Ian Owens had three goals and three assists in the win, while teammate Jake Palmer had three goals. For Cambridge, Gabriel Sgambettera scored four goals, and Jamie Olvera had three goals and three assists. Voorheesville will play top-seeded Schuylerville in Tuesday’s semifinals.

Jacob Hand hit a walkoff single in the seventh inning to lead Niskayuna past Colonie 4-3 in a Suburban Council baseball game. Aaron Whitley had a triple RBI single
In the Western Athletic Conference, Von Baker powered OESJ to a 5-2 victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo by pitching a complete game with 11 strikeouts. On offense, Baker hit a solo home run and two singles, while Travis LaFountain had a double and a single. Jacob Flower and Will Boltri each doubled for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Fonda-Fultonville defeated Berne-Knox-Westerlo 5-3 behind Massimo DiCaprio’s double. Flower had two singles for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Galway defeated Mayfield 20-0 behind a triple and single from Christian Hines, two doubles and two singles from Mike Sowle, and a double and single from Henry Flint, and a double for Alex Malanoski.

In the Colonial Council, Derek Hotzler hit a home run and a double, Brett Becker, Aaron Henry, and Sterling Sisson each doubled to help Cobleskill-Richmondville beat Schalmont 3-1.

Cobleskill-Richmondville shut out Watervliet 10-0 led by Brett Becker with a double and two singles, Alex Javitz and Derek Hotzler each with a double and a single, and Aaron Henry with a double.

Tristan Nemjo hit for the cycle as Tamarac shut out Stillwater 18-0 in a Wasaren League game. Ryan Derby had five singles, Michael Jacques had three singles and Dalton Maxon doubled and singled.

Hoosic Valley defeated Cambridge 14-2 led by Nick Santiago with a double and two singles, Kessler Waldron’s double and two singles, and Justin Sawyer’s three singles. Cambridge was led by Ben Epler with a double and single, and Kaedin Ogilvie with a double.

Waterford-Halfmoon shut out Cambridge 10-0 behind Michael Talavera’s double and two singles, Tommy Phelan’s three singles and Bobby Valigorsky and Mike Castracani with two singles each.

Talavera had a double and two singles in Waterford-Halfmoon’s 6-3 win over Greenwich. Phelan had a double and a single.

In the Foothills Council, Broadalbin-Perth swept a doubleheader from Gloversville 14-6 and 5-2. In the opener, Justin Herlick had a triple and single, Samuel Vainauskas and John Marsden had a double and a single. Dane Dillenbeck had a triple and single in Game 2.

Gian Verna had a pair of singles to lift La Salle over Schenectady 8-3 in a non-league game.

Jordan Fowler doubled, while Nate Angell and Brendan Scott each had two singles to help Queensbury beat Shenendehowa 8-3. Jake Reinisch doubled, and Patrick McGuire had three singles for Shenendehowa.

Greenwich defeated Stillwater 33-2 in a Wasaren League game behind Haley Spiezio’s home run and two singles, Reegan Mullen’s double and four singles, Carissa Wardwell’s double and three singles, Lauren Maines and Eliza Jordan with three singles each.

Colonie defeated Niskayuna 13-3 in a Suburban Council softball game. Jen McCumber and Lindsey Dobbs each had a home run and a double, and Myaisha Kelly had a home run, a double, and a single. Sydni Towe had a double and a single for Niskayuna.

In the Mudville Tournament, Ballston Spa shut out Whitesboro 7-0 led by Angelina Stile with a home run, Ana Gold with a triple, double, and a single, and Alison Sgambati with two singles. Lauren Kersch pitched a one-hitter.

In the second game, Ballston Spa beat Whitesboro 19-0. Lauren Kersch pitched a no-hitter and had two doubles, Ana Gold slugged two home runs and a single, Alison Sgambati had a home run, Julia Russell had a triple and single, Caroline Srokowski hit a triple, and Angelina Stile hit two doubles and three singles.
