SARATOGA SPRINGS - Saratoga Springs police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man and a woman as part of an investigation into an assault May 12.
Police this week released still images of the two from surveillance cameras in Saratoga Springs.
The investigation concerns an incident from about 2:30 a.m. May 12 in the Caroline Street area, police said.
A male victim was assaulted and initially hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The victim suffered facial fractures.
Police believe the man in the surveillance photos that they are trying to identify was involved in the attack. The woman was seen with him throughout the night, police spokesman Lt. Robert Jillson said.
Police continued to try and identify the pair Thursday, Jillson said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 518-584-1800 and refer to case 1410.
The May 12 assault followed one from 10 days earlier that left a Schenectady man in critical condition. That assault happened on Church Street, near Broadway. No arrests have been made in that case.
