SPORTS, Grades 7–9, 3rd Place

Since the beginning of the soccer season, Manchester City and Liverpool have been trying to keep the first place spot but neither team can keep the lead.

Right now Manchester City is in second place behind Liverpool. Manchester City won the league last year, so this year they are the favorites to win. Manchester City has some great players, including Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne.

However, Liverpool has great players too, such as Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. They both have won many trophies over the years. So far Liverpool has won 62 trophies so far and is leading the Premier League.

Manchester City has won only nine trophies over the years. The race to win it all is always tough, only the best of the best of the best can win the Premier League. The top four teams have a guaranteed spot in the Champions League, which is a different league in which the best teams from Europe all play to see who wins the Champions League trophy.

The fifth and sixth-placed teams make the Europa League, which is a league where if you weren't good enough to make it to the Champions League, you will go there. You still have to be a high enough spot though. Usually the top six teams in the Premier League are Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur.

These are some of the best teams in the world. That's why they finish in those places rather than in 20th and get relegated or moved down to the next tier.

This has been a heated rivalry for a long time now and last year, Liverpool beat Manchester City in the Champions League. In the Premier League last year, Manchester City was undefeated until Liverpool beat Manchester City, 4-3. When Liverpool beat Manchester City in the Champions League, Liverpool fans trashed the Manchester City bus by throwing rocks at it and doing other things to try and damage it.

Overall, I think both of the teams are spectacular, but in my opinion, Liverpool is going to win the Premier League this year.
