SARATOGA COUNTY — Three registered sex offenders were arrested recently by the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office and charged with felonies for allegedly failing to comply with the requirements of their sex offender status.
Rafael Brito, 23, of Clifton Park was arrested June 5 and charged with failing to provide law enforcement with a photograph of himself within 20 days of the third anniversary of his registration as a sex offender, a class D felony.
Brito was arraigned before Clifton Park Town Justice James Hughes and sent to Saratoga County jail in lieu of bail or bond.
Daniel F.S. Valastro, 28, of Gansevoort, was arrested May 29 and charged with failing to notify police of his social media accounts, a class E felony.
He was released on an appearance ticket for Moreau Town Court.
Austin D. Hanna, 22, of Granville, was arrested May 30 and charged with failing to notify police of his social media accounts, a class E felony.
Hanna was arraigned in front of Moreau Town Justice Jeffrey McCabe. He was released pending further court proceedings.
