MECHANICVILLE - A Mechanicville woman returned home Saturday evening to find a man she did not know asleep in a spare bedroom, police said.

The man was startled awake and fled the residence, police said on Facebook. No arrests have been made.

Nothing was reported stolen and no injuries were reported, police said.

The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. at the woman's Saratoga Avenue address, police said.

The resident reported that the man fled the home, got on a bicycle and went west on Saratoga Avenue, police said.

Police responded and searched the area, including with a K-9, but did not locate the man.

The woman described the intruder as having dark hair. He wore a dark hat, a light-colored sweatshirt and had a dark bicycle.
