COBLESKILL -- A Schenectady man was found sleeping in a car off an Interstate 88 ramp in Schoharie County in possession of drugs, state police said.
Larry Sandgren, 48, was arrested just after 5 a.m. Saturday off the ramp at Exit 22 in the Town of Cobleskill, state police said.
Troopers responded for a report of a possible disabled car on the ramp. They arrived to find Sandgren sleeping in the driver's seat, troopers said.
Troopers interviewed Sandgren and then determined he possessed more than an eighth of an ounce of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, state police said. Troopers also determined he had a suspended license.
Sandgren faces one count each of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, along with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, both misdemeanors.
Sandgren was arraigned and ordered held on $10,000 bail.
